A message from the founder
I started The Fire Standard because I was looking for something different. I have always loved training new guys and being active in my department, and somewhere in that I figured out what I was actually here to do, which is help firefighters succeed.
The further I got into building this, the more I saw how much of this job follows you home. It touches everything, on duty and off. And there are a lot of departments that cannot afford to send people to conferences or bring in the speakers who have something worth hearing.
So I started travelling, meeting those experts, and putting what they know in one place. This is my way of getting it to the people who need it, wherever they are.
